MikroTik SNMP Read Only Access Setup

This post is how to setup SNMP RO access on RouterOS. Please note that this enable access with NO FILTER. This means that if you do not have the appropriate firewall rules in place actors on the internet could access your MikroTik via SNMP as a Read Only user.

1. Set the SNMP Community String.
   • /snmp community
   • add addresses=::/0 name=letmeread
2. Set the SNMP Server Settings.
   • /snmp
   • set contact=”Me The Admin” enabled=yes location=”The Admins House”
