When using the Reolink cameras it may become necessary to disable internet access to these cameras. In my findings you must only disable internet access to these devices VIA NAT instead of removing access to the default gateway. If the devices lose their default gateway they will refuse to connect regardless of the NAT policies enabled cross subnet. Removing DNS does work but will not prevent the devices from connecting if they have hard coded DNS servers configured internally.
