Create New Virtual Switch and Add Ports VmWare ESXi

The following is a quick guide on how to create a new virtual switch and add ports to it. In this example we will be adding only a single port so there will be no redundancy.

• Navigate to Networking -> Virtual Switches.

• Click Add Standard Virtual Switch
  • Set the Virtual Switch Name to something familiar.
  • Set the Uplink 1 Port to the port being used for network traffic and click Add.
